It’s interesting that opponents always scream from the hilltops about the children when it comes to gambling expansion, meanwhile, the LA Times reports that according to a British survey by the NHS Information Centre that the percentage of students between ages 11 and 15 who had never drunk alcohol has been on the rise in recent years — from 39% in 2003 to 49% in 2009 with that trend expected to continue.

Daniel Radcliffe the star of Harry Potter used to be all about drinking and carrying on, in fact, he apparently took it too far. In his interview with GQ U.K. Radcliffe revealed that he had his fair share of recent struggles with the sauce.

Radcliffe now 21, said in the interview with GQ U.K, “I became so reliant on [alcohol] to enjoy stuff…As much as I would love to be a person that goes to parties and has a couple of drinks and has a nice time — that doesn’t work for me. I do that very unsuccessfully.”

Join the club Potter. How do you think people end up with the DAF Award?

It’s called drinking and carrying on and at 18 you’re just a rookie at it, you’ll learn control soon enough and people will stop calling you Harry Potter and the Deathly Hangover behind your back.

But before we get on Radcliffe and his amateur drinking practices, let’s get back to the opening question.

What age were you the first time you got drunk?

Now, I’m not talking about the first time you tried alcohol, I’m talking about the first time you got downright wasted. Do you remember what booze you were drinking?

For me, it was at a HS party, not sure how old I was, but I know I wasn’t a senior or junior in HS, we’ll leave it at that- Jack Daniels hidden in a slushie cup, school dance, ended in messy vomit on my date and all over the dance-floor, and a subsequent suspension from all school dances for the rest of that year.

So what about you? Perhaps you can’t remember that night, but try, we’d love to hear your very first experience with drinking and carryin on.

I think your liver would hate a pill that lets you drink your face off every day and the sober up.
